WHO WE ARE

We are researchers, program designers, implementers, and data listeners living at the nexus of decoloniality praxis, data insights and behavior change.

Our aim: to contribute to the reimagining

of global development.

With a combined experience of over 35 years, GDOi's team of experts are well-positioned to provide the necessary data and approaches necessary to change systems in development. Our mission is to support the development of locally-led and implemented programs within a new philanthropic paradigm where power symmetries rooted in colonial practice are disrupted.

At GDOi, we believe that the right understanding, information edge, and thorough implementation will lead to incredible insights that promote behavior changes that move whole communities toward building an equitable, sustainable, and healthy,  future, together.

WHAT WE DO

We translate research & data into actionable insights in an effort to decolonize aid towards a new, equitable era of global development.

Established in 2018, GDOi initiatives come together to tackle issues in global development comprehensively. Our expertise in technical design, research, program operations, implementation, and evaluation in global development and general socio-economic systems provides the tools necessary to conduct groundbreaking research to inform policy shifts.

We, at GDOi, understand that strong systems including reliable infrastructure, equitable policies, stable economies, good governance, and overall transparency to lead to sustainable, long-term outcomes for society as a whole. We also understand that existing systems must be challenged globally, and solutions defined locally. GDOi utilizes data to lead us into a redefined future.

"If we examine closely this system of compartments…its ordering and its geographical layout will allow us to mark out the lines on which a decolonized society will be reorganized."

-Franz Fanon
